The Classic VW Campervan RV

Volkswagen was one of the first manufacturers of the campervan. The VW campervan, also known as a minibus, was first introduced in 1950 and gained in popularity as an inexpensive way to take the family on vacation. In the 1950s, the Volkswagen campervan, also know as Type 2, was one of two car models produced by Volkswagen. The VW campervan is not only a classic but also holds iconic status in recent American history, as it was closely associated with the counter-culture of the 1970s.

The VW touring van inspired several imitations in the United States. Similar models came out from Ford, Chevy, and Dodge. However, the VW version remains the most widely recognized.

The VW campervan can be found either used or new. It was originally marketed as a family vehicle, and therefore was designed to sleep two adults and two children. New models now sleep up to four adults. In addition to sleeping quarters, VW campervans also have a small kitchen with a sink, gas stove, a small water tank to provide running water, and refrigerator. Some models also have satellite TV, wireless internet, pop up roof, sliding side door, privacy curtain, rotating front seat, large windows and extra cabinet space. They also come in several different color combinations.

The VW camper van has a few advantages over other RVs. First of all, it is far more affordable than your standard RV. Second, it can serve as a second vehicle for a family, in addition to being a vacation vehicle. Finally, it gets much better fuel economy than other RVs, making the overall cost much lower.

To find a used VW Campervan, begin with classifieds. You can also find vintage models in classic car magazines or from classic car dealers. Collectors magazines are another good option. eBay and craigslist are other good options. Sometimes you can purchase VW mini bus and have it converted into a campervan, which is a good option if you want to customize the features.

If you decide to purchase a VW Conversion van, be sure to find proper insurance. Insuring a campervan is not the same as insuring a car, and you will need to find insurance that reflects that. Your policy should be similar to car insurance and home owners insurance combined. In addition to covering accidents, natural disasters, and personal effects, you also want a policy that offers 24/7 roadside assistance, emergency assistance, vacation liability and graffiti.

In The News HONDA FURY New Chopper

There is just 1 day remaining before HONDA showcases the FURY, the 1st ever production chopper from a Bike giant. There has been so much of speculations, but I guess we can wait for 1 more day before it is officially launched in New York International Motorcycle Show on Friday (16th Jan). The picture above is courtesy Hell For Leather Magazine. The first scoop photos came to the net through Solo Moto who got some spy pics of the bike being tested.
The Fury has a 1312cc fuel-injected liquid-cooled shaft driven V-twin engine and certainly the longest wheelbase of any production motorcycle at 1808.5mm. To support the massive frame, it has fat 200 series rear tire is supported by a hidden monoshock while the front tire is a skinny 90/90-21.
There is also an official website for the launch called Fury is Unleashed!

Motor oil has been replaced in the waste go

hahayy lets discuss from our routine activities every 2 months or more after the motor is 2000 km oil change, either in the dialer or dibengkel usual. Oil change is mandatory items that must not be violated if we still want to mount fresh-fit to accompany his master.

Every oil change we could spend money from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands (make that a lot of his money ya hee) just for a bottle of oil.

Then where do we replace the used oil in the garage or the dialer again???

Additional money

Well, my little story about used oil that is in the dialer alone, because if dibengkel public, usually at either discarded or something.

Used oil that has not used anymore by the mechanics they collect in a tank / direjen a capacity of about 25 or 35 liters. Why?? is going to be recycled again? answer that I encountered was not it. But sold to those in need, who??

Incidentally day didialer time there was a father who took my 2 tank size of 35 liters to carry, when I asked what to do with. He replied, used oil was used for the plan in place for wood processing and motor boats in the suburbs. Fairly than purchasing a new one, it is expensive.

Then what is the cost of one liter of used oil, it appears that the price is Rp. 1500, if the dialer can get 2 tank size of 35 liters then obtained Rp. 105,000. Hemm quite make buying a drink or eat a fellow mechanics or other employees in the front stalls yes no.

The 2013 Triumph Trophy

In the 2012 Triumph Trophy model year, Triumph released a machine that would go head-to-head with the BMW R 1200 GS, the manufacturer from Hinkley releasing the Tiger Explorer. Powered by a 1215cc inline three, the Explorer quickly became the largest displacement Adventure bike on the market, beating the BMW R 1200 GS by a few ccs.

For 2013 models, Triumph seems to be once again going head-to-head with the Bavarian manufacturer, but this time in the luxury sport touring class. Triumph’s latest model, the Trophy, seems to be directed at BMW’s uber-luxurious and powerful sport tourers, the K 1600 GT and the K 1600 GTL.

The liquid-cooled, 12-valve DOHC engine features ride-by-wire electronics, and produces 132 horsepower @ 8900 rpm (for comparison, BMW’s K 1600 GT & GTL produce 160 horsepower), and 89 ft. lbs. of torque @ 6450 rpm.

To reach comfortable riding the 2013 Triumph Trophy is built on an aluminum twin-spar frame, with a single-sided cast aluminum alloy swingarm. Taking care of suspension up front are WP 43mm upside down forks with manually adjustable rebound damping, and 130mm travel. The SE model also features WP 43mm upside down forks, but with electronically adjustable rebound damping (sport/normal/comfort) and 127mm travel.

The Triumph Trophy rolls on cast-aluminum, five spoke wheels (17 X 3.5-inch front, 17 X 6-inch wheel), helping to keep the overall wet weight around 662 lbs. Stopping the machine are twin 320mm floating disk brakes squeezed by Nissin four-piston calipers, and a single 282mm disc out back squeezed by a two-piston sliding caliper. The Triumph Trophy and Trophy SE both feature linked ABS, which is non-switchable (linked means front brakes are partially activated by the rear brake).

The New Fatboy Headlight

The new big headlight.

View from the driver seat.

The new headlight is installed now. Im not sure why but the wiring it came with had a couple extra wires that I didnt know what to do with. After hooking it up some weird way and causing a short, I ended up cutting out the original wiring from the stock headlight and running that into the new 7" Fatboy headlight bucket and bulb assembly. That seemed to do the trick - lights up and no shorts!

I have also de-chromed the bucket with some scotchbrite pads so its nice and matchy-matchy with the rest of the bike.

The Unique Design 2013 Yamaha VMax VMX17

The name is 2013 Yamaha VMax VMX17. Its unlike any other motorcycle available today, the bike is the ultimate fusion of brawn and brains where offeres the awesome acceleration and muscular beauty combines with sporty handling and Yamahas latest electronic engine management technologies to offer an incredibly exhilarating riding experience. This radically-styled muscle bike became an instant legend when the first versions rolled onto the streets and drag strips in 1985, and the current incarnation continues those traditions of brawn and beauty, with massive, muscular design to match the vast power of the engine.

The engine arrived with Super-powerful 4-stroke V4, 1679cc - plenty of eye-opening, four valves per cylinder with liquid cooled. Its adapted four-bore fuel injection with YCC-I® intake technology and YCC-T® fly-by-wire throttle provide awesome acceleration throughout the broad powerband. The engine also used Iridium spark plugs, its ensure extremely efficient combustion at all engine speeds.

The 2013 Yamaha VMax VMX17 also used Mikuni fuel injection system uses four 48mm throttle bodies fitted with T.P.S. (Throttle Position Sensor) and numerous other sensors. An oxygen sensor has been fitted into the exhaust making this a "closed loop" type FI system. The benefits include excellent throttle response, great fuel economy, reduced emissions, stable idling and no choke to fuss with during start up. The closed loop design means the system is constantly monitoring the fuel / air mixture and adjusting it as required for maximum performance plus reduced emissions.

The 2013 Yamaha VMax VMX17 Chassis used lightweight cast aluminium frame. Its has been designed to offer an optimized rigidity balance to maximize handling performance. This frame is very rigid or stiff at the head pipe, engine mounts and swingarm pivot point. For suspension used Link Monocross rear suspension utilizes a fully adjustable remote reservoir rear shock. Rear wheel travel is 110mm (4.3"). Adjustments include 11 way spring preload adjustability (via easy-access remote adjuster), 12-way compression damping and 18-way rebound damping adjustability.

To reduce speed, 2013 Yamaha VMax VMX17 used dual floating 320mm wave-style front rotors are squeezed by radial mount, monoblock 6-piston calipers. The master cylinder is a Brembo radial pump master cylinder with a 16mm piston, a direct GP race innovation. And 298mm wave-style rear disc is squeezed by a single-piston slide-type caliper utilizing sintered metal pads and a 14mm Brembo master. The caliper is mounted below the swingram to maintain a handling enhancing low centre of gravity. Anti-lock braking system features Yamahas latest ABS system. The linear controlled 3-position ABS system features an ECU with an integrated compact hydraulic unit built into the ECU plus active type wheel sensors with magnetic rotors. The result is incredible braking performance with excellent control and lever feedback.
